Gifts never without God!

Spiritual Gifts are not a "gift" with which you determine everything yourself after receiving it, because the Gifts are supported by God!

God gives the Gifts, not Christ!

They are not called "Spiritual Gifts" for nothing: given by God YHWH, Who is, of course, a Spirit:

"God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and in Truth," John 4:24.

It is also important that you are already in the Truth: in Christ (John 14:6, Galatians 3:27) through baptism of faith (= knowing what you believe!) and that this faith is also biblical and suitable for Christians, namely in one true God (YHWH) and in one Lord Christ Yeshua, Romans 10:9.  Thus, one comes to God only through Christ.

"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life," Jesus answered. "One can only go to the Father through me," John 14:6

(Christ says:) "I ascend to my and your Father, to my and your God" John 20:17

"Baptism has united you all to Christ; you have put on Christ as a garment," Galatians 3:27

"Confess Christ as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved," Romans 10:9.

Only with this faith and by applying that faith in the same way are you a Christian in Truth and in Spirit. Then you also receive the Gifts of the Spirit, but even then you are nothing without God.  You can't start doing your own will or do something whenever it pleases you!

Sinning = separating yourself from God!

Anyone who sins against God, His Commandments, and/or sins against their own body (= fornication) is effectively without God, or separated from God. Fortunately, a Christian can ask for and receive forgiveness from Christ Yeshua, so that you can stand clean before God again and remain connected. Therefore, it's important to know that you can still sin, to understand its impact, and to ask for forgiveness!

Connected to God in Christ

When you begin to work with the Gifts of the Spirit you noticeably receive, you do so in Christ as a Christian, but led by God, just as Christ is led by God. Your own will is therefore not leading and cannot accomplish anything! Christ is just a servant of God.

Example 1:

With the Gift of Insight into good and evil, people think they can see how someone is doing concerning sins. However, it is God Who either shows you that or not; He may have reasons for not showing it. While a Christian may believe he/she will always see how someone is doing ...

Example 2:

Those who receive a prophecy won't always want to deliver it (as we also know from Jonah, for example), but God's will be done, directly or indirectly. A Christian might also think, for example, that there is "insufficient reason to deliver the prophecy," but will soon be compelled to deliver it anyway!

God's Guidance and God's Will are and always remain the starting point; and that you are/remain a Christian.

Always dependent on God & your prayer

A Christian is dependent on God for the use and/or functioning of the Gifts of the Spirit, and prayer with an appeal to- or in the name of Christ Yeshua is truly necessary beforehand/during this process:

Example 3:

When I leave the house, I always pray and ask for Protection or Guidance on my path. In my morning prayers, I also ask for the Blessing of my day and food. That's how important your daily prayer is! So in unexpected situations, I can rely on Protection, Help, and Blessings.  But the moment I want to actively use the Gifts myself, I will have to pray again, seek God's Will, and ask.

Don't be led by bystanders

Just as Job wasn't discouraged or led by bystanders, Christians also don't let themselves be discouraged or led by the opinions or conclusions of bystanders! God determines whether healing comes, whether and what you see or don't see, whether a situation is turned around, and so on.

You're not a Christian to be put on a pedestal, and your Christian status isn't determined by what bystanders think or their conclusions. Quite the opposite even. For answers or confirmation, you can turn to God or to the Christ of God in your prayers.

Definitely continue to actively use your Gifts despite discouragement, and don't turn away, or you will be lost forever, says Hebrews 6:4-6.
