Judaistic and Messianic people consider the promise God YHWH made to Israël of major importance thus their faith often is in that promise only. Wise or incomplete with great risks?
Lovely invitation rejected with anger
Starting to write I get thoughts of the story Christ tells amongst his fellow Jewish people comparing the Heavenly Kingdom with a kingdom of which the King prepared a weddingfeast for his son and invited guests, the people of a city, but nobody would come. They even attacked, hurted and killed the servants. Then the king was outraged, sent his troops to the city, he had the attackers killed and the city burned. Then he invited people from the crossings of roads allover, good and bad. (Matthew 22:2-13).
Christs story actually is about how God sent him -the son- to the Jews, the people of Israel. The Jews were the ones invited to the son to share the feast of Life Eternal through His Son, but they rejected Christ and the servants of Christ, hurted and killed them. Thus God decided Eternal life would be given not to the chosen, but to good and bad people from allover that would come (Gentiles too!).
If the "King" (God YHWH) had made a promise earlier on to his people but those people reject and kill his son and servants: would that King still uphold his promise? He had those villagers killed and their city burned the story tells us...
Vineyard given to others!
While I search for words writing more I am suddenly drawn to Mark 12:12 in my digital Bible. It said that they sought Christ to arrest him, because they understood the parabel was actually about them and against them! That made me read the parabel of the Vineyard in Mark12:1-12 telling:
The owner (God) of a Vineyard (Israël) wants to collect his part of the fruit (Believers), but the tenants (religious system & Jewish society) kill many collecting servants and even his son (Christ Yeshua). What will the owner do? Verse9 says "He will come and destroy the tenants and give the vineyard to others."
Israël loses its role in Spiritual matters as a Priesthood / Leading to- and from Believers yet in that way also the Kingdom of God:
"Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits.", Matthew21:43 (same parabel as Mark12)
Before and after Christ says more importantly this:
"Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing,
and it is marvelous in our eyes’?" (42)
"And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.”(44)
Everyone rejecting Christ will go to dust and will be crushed forever!
Other nations and people will be the Spiritual Servants of God. And in the meanwhile everyone against Christ will be crushed and lost forever. Only a small part of the Jews did and do accept Christ Yeshua as the Lord of God, the Messiah of God YHWH. Together with the Gentiles that accepted Christ as Lord of God YHWH they form a new people in Christ:
"he (Christ) himself is our peace, who has made us both (Jews & Gentiles ) one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.", Ephesians 2:14-16.
To reconcile with God you have to accept Christ, which only a minor part of the Jews, but many of the Gentiles did. But how about the other Jews?!
Remainder of Jews will turn to Christ!
The apostle Paul reveals that a time will come the Jews will accept Christ as Lord of God YHWH and as a result will reconcile with God again:
"The Mystery of Israel’s Salvation
A partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in", Romans11:25.
"And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer (Christ!) will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”;“and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” Romans11:26-27.
Christ cannot be taken out of this process because only in Christ we are God's People in one body (Eph. 2:14-16). And only in Christ we reconcile with- and we get access to God the Father:
"For through him (Christ) we both (Jew & non Jew) have access in one Spirit to the Father.", Ephesians 2:18
Faith in the Promise not sufficient
Yes: God YHWH keeps His Promise, but only for those that accept Christ as Savior and Lord of God YHWH too. And in the end many Jews will do so, but everyone that didn't while alive will be crushed and be lost!
So it is important as a Jew to learn about Christ Yeshua and to accept him in your life. Start reading about him, get acquainted and try praying to him as you do to God YHWH.
Getting to know Christ Yeshua
Building a relationship with Christ too
Christ was created by God YHWH, Col 1:15, before Creation, Prov8:22-31, and before Earth, Abraham and Jews existed, John17:5. Christ is the Servant of God
Knowing Christ of course also means you understand he is not the one true God YHWH Who is a Spirit! Christ Yeshua has a risen body (Romans10:9) to the example of Christians (Romans8:11) and he is neither God nor a Spirit!
Life eternal when you believe in the one true God YHWH and in Lord Christ Yeshua sent by God, John17:3
