We humans are designed creatures and we owe it to our Creator that we know love, because He has incorporated the possibility of experiencing and living it into our design:
"God is a Spirit." John 4:24
"God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him,” 1John 4:16
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." Genesis 1:26.
And so Adam and Eve were given a spirit as God YHWH is a Spirit; and a body as Christ has a body. After all, the "us" refers to God and to Christ who was there when God began His work of creation (Proverbs 8:22-31, John 17:5).
God, who is Love, also wanted to express this in his designs, so that they can also show that to each other and be loving to each other.
Only we need God as a Spiritual Component in our lives to be and remain truly loving, because there is also another spiritual, demonic power that tempts us to the opposite of love: selfishness, hatred, indifference, ridicule, envy, lust, love of money, and so on.
To be assured of God's Love and its Fruit in our lives, we first need Christ:
"If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, then God abides in him and he abides in God. We have come to know the love that God has for us, and we believe in it. God is love, and who abides in love abides in God, and God in him" (1John 4:15-16).
Only: 1. how do you come to Christ and 2. how do you receive God's Love?
1. You come to Christ through the baptism of faith (Galatians 3:27) in his name Yeshua (Acts 19:5);
2. You come to God after you have been baptized, namely through prayer with the laying on of hands after baptism (Acts 19:6, Acts 8:17-18). You thus receive God's Spirit (Love!) and God's Gifts.
"Baptism has united you all to Christ; you have put on Christ as a garment." Galatians 3:27.
"Paul laid his hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came upon them. They spoke with strange tongues and prophesied," Acts 19:6.
With that Love you also receive God's Guidance anchored in your life. This way you remain in God and God in you. And so you become a Fruit of Love during your life or you grow in the Fruit of the Spirit!!!
It is also for this reason that the "ordinary love" that man has - including the pagans or idolaters or churchmen - is not a synonym for how God is Love in those who later come to HIM through Christ and in whose life HE lives in Love leading to that same Fruit! Acting kindly is not a synonym for acting from God's Anchored Love! And idols are from demonic influence leading to bad fruit, no matter how loving idolaters seem. That is why they do not get eternal life.
Without Christ you will not become a beautiful temple in which to later receive God's Spirit (Ephesians 2:20-22).
Without receiving God's Spirit in that beautiful, worthy temple in Christ, you will not get that Love anchored (Acts 19:6)
“You stand built on the foundation laid by the apostles and the prophets; the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. To him the whole building owes its solid structure and through him it grows into a holy temple. In unity with him you also are being built up for a spiritual dwelling place in the sight of God." Ephesians 2:20-22.
Churches with their trinity godhead, biunity godhead or just 1-god do not come to God's Love, nor to God's Gifts. After all, they do not believe in 1 God who is Spirit and in 1 Lord Christ Yeshua who is the High Priest of the only true God (Hebrews 5:5) and as such sits to the right of God (Mark 16:19). So they never come to God through Christ. Not even if they have baptism followed by prayer with the laying on of hands! False faith does not lead to God, just as lies never lead to truth...
"So also Christ did not exalt himself to be made a high priest, but was appointed by Him who said to him, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you”'" (Hebrews 5:5).
“When the Lord Jesus had finished speaking, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God,” Mark 16:19.
Without God you will never come to His Eternal Love. And without Christ you cannot come to God. Without both of them you will never achieve the necessary fruit of the Spirit!
“Therefore take from him the talent and give it to him who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have it in abundance. But does not have, even what he has will be taken away And cast out the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 25:38-40).
Note: the Talents symbolize the Spiritual Gifts and the growth of Talents symbolize the Fruit of the Spirit. Without the Fruit of the Spirit you are an “unprofitable slave” and will be lost forever!
So pay attention: Christians serve from God's Love and Gifts leading to Spiritual Fruit; not from their own love and talents/will, because that only leads to the fruit of sin!
