Prophecy faith doesn't save

Blocking needed belief with a prophetic generalization?!

As a Christian, I teach the good news of eternal life and explain how you can be saved and gain eternal life: believing in 1 Lord Christ Jesus and in 1 true God YHWH, a Spirit John 4:24, John 17:3.  Romans 10:9 also explains that belief.  And how to lay that faith: in Acts 19:5 (baptism leads to Christ) and Acts 19:6 (prayer with the laying on of hands leads to God and Spiritual Gifts).

But online I sometimes meet people who don't want that saving faith, nor the necessary way to get there.  Today I met “Wheelman” on Instagram and he answered my teaching in line with what Christ himself says with Acts 2:17 saying the following:

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, that I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and thy sons and thy daughters shall prophesy, and thy young men shall see visions, and thy old men shall dream dreams."

He was clearly trying to block my teachings with a generalization.  Why need a right belief and act upon it when God is going to pour out His Spirit on everyone anyway?

Firstly, because that attitude and "faith in the prophecy" show a total lack of dedication in the saving faith needed (Romans 10:9, John 17:3), in the laying of that faith (Acts 19:5+6)  and in going out (Matthew chapter 25) .  Secondly, because people who wait for Acts 2:17 to happen will not grow in the fruit of the Spirit while they are alive and thirdly, more importantly, if they die before then they will not receive eternal life and so  not be saved!

Wheelman's generalization will cost him dearly, and it could harm people who take his online advice to heart.  So his smart comment is doubly not so smart.  It leads to eternal death!

For those who have already followed this "prophetic advice" from others I am writing this now so that you understand that waiting idle or even with an unbiblical faith not according to John 17:3 and John 14:1 (in 1 Lord Christ and in 1 true God YHWH)  will lead  to ETERNAL DEATH.  So try to find the narrow path that leads to the narrow gate and do it actively, even if you are in a church!
