True Christians love Christ too, because of his sacrifice at the cross thus saving the ones that know and believe in God and in him as Lord of God, John17:3, John14:1, Romans 10:9. But how to love Christ?!
Firstly by knowing him too (and not only God YHWH) and by wanting to know his true Hebrew name: Yeshua, which makes it personal and immediately explains who he is to you, because his name means in Hebrew "he that saves us from our sins". For it is not the name of God YHWH that saves us, but the name of Christ Yeshua, Acts4:10-12.
Knowing him too however (John17:3) is not enough; you also need to believe in him says Christ in John14:1 as follows:
"Believe in God, also believe in me".
"This is life eternal: that they know Thee, the one true God, and Christ Yeshua whom Thou has sent", John17:3.
"Confess Christ as Lord and believe God raised him from the dead and you will be saved", Romans10:9
Sofar loving Christ means:
1. Knowing Christ by his true name Yeshua, John3:18, thus making it personal to him;
2. Accepting the meaning of his name making it personal to yourself;
3. Believing not only in God YHWH but also in Christ, John14:1;
4. Thus confessing him as Lord of God YHWH, Romans 10:9.
5. Praying to him directly too (John14:13-14) and building up a personal relationship with Christ;
6. Praising him too (John5:23)
Of course loving also means:
7. attaching a deep personal emotion to all this; a mix of gratitude, being moved, love, warmth, devotion, tears and more.
That's how (1-7) how you make loving Christ personal, but there's more needed:
8. Following & obeying him, John14:23, John21:15-17.
"Yeshua answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to Him and make our home with Him", John14:23
"Yeshua said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”
He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”
He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Yeshua said to him, “Feed my sheep.", John21:15-17
Feed the lambs, tend to and feed the sheep actually means following in the footsteps of Christ, doing by his example and as he commanded and thus obeying him:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”, Matthew 28:19
