John3:18 says how important it is to know/accept the true name of Christ: "but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only son of God".
The true name of Christ however is a Hebrew name, because Christ was born a Hebrew so it's not Greek/Latinized Jesus!!!

You need to believe in Christ as a person but also believe in his true name. But even more is required says Romans 10:9 also:
"Confess Christ as Lord and believe with your heart God raised him from the dead and you will be saved".
Thus Christ Yeshua is the Lord of God YHWH.
In order to being able to do so you need to know the one true God and also Lord Christ says John17:3 like this:
"This is life eternal: that they know Thee, the one true God, and Christ Yeshua whom Thou has sent".
In the Bible which is derived from Greek/Latin the fake name "Jesus" is used, also in John17:3. But if you are truly interested in a personal way in Christ and led by Gods Spirit you eventually will get to know the true name Yeshua of Christ and use that name in your prayers, songs and worship gladly instead.
Most church members totally reject the real name Yeshua of Christ because they have been programmed with the Latinized church name Jesus; without knowing. That this programming also goes along with rejection of him being the Lord of GOD because of trinitarian or binitarian beliefs shows a wrong/bad spiritual influence. Gods Spirit is the Spirit of Truth (God YHWH, a Spirit John4:24) which leads to the Truth -Christ Yeshua- says:
"I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness about me", John15:26.
Who the Father is? Christ says it plainly in John20:17 as follows:
"I ascend to my and your Father, to my and your God".
The Father is the God of Christ and Christians. And Christ the son and Lord of God and as such he is also called the Truth:
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me", John14:6.
Rejecting the true name of Christ shows a bad spiritual influence and it doesn't matter whether you are a church member or not doing so:
"The one who knows God listens to us; the one who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error", 1John4:6.
The Spirit of Truth (God YHWH) leads to the Truth (Christ Yeshua). So everyone refusing/rejecting his true name shows that the spirit of error (the devil) is leading him or her.
If you are sincere and didn't know all this act accordingly and from now on use the true name of Christ in your prayers, in songs and in worship. Start by saying to Christ you are sorry you didn't know his true name Yeshua. Then act accordingly from that moment on:
In prayers to God with an appeal on Christ's name (John16:23), but also when praying to Christ directly, John14:13-14. Make it true and personal that way.
In songs: just use Yeshua instead of Jesus while singing.
In worshipping God and Christ (John5:23) also use Yeshua when referring to Christ. Use YAHWEH when referring to God.
In this way you build up a personal relationship with Christ also and you will get nearer to him. Being a Christian cannot go without that relationship. So make it personal and make it true and call him by his name Yeshua.
