Some songs say "Heaven is our home" or "This (Earth) is not our home" suggesting that in the future Heaven will be our home influenced by the flawed "Heaven or hell doctrine" the churches invented and teach. What will the future home of Christians be?!
First of all: Earth has always been our home; humans were created on Earth and we have lived here ever since. Earth is our home; not Heaven.
Secondly: there is no instant Heaven and certainly no instant hell after death. Christians and not-Christians will rest in the grave untill the 2nd Coming of Christ & 1st Resurrection (leading to eternal life & going to Heaven with Christ and the angels) or 2nd resurrection (leading to verdict and eternal death).
And thirdly: yes, Christ prepares a place in Heaven where Christians will temporarily stay (John14:2-3). But that is only for a 1,000 years (Revelation 20:4) yet in Heaven is only like 1 day...
After that temporarily stay in Heaven we return to Earth together with Christ; a new Earth will be our home.
